The library will be closed to honor all who served. We thank our servicemen and servicewomen for their selflessness and courage.  Join us on Tuesday, May 20th at 11am in the amphitheater as we welcome Brentwood resident, Joyce Hurd! She will share a bit about how this book came to be, read a segment from the book, and be available for your questions. A copy of Joyce's book will be raffled off at the presentation.  There's no place like ... the library to get Plants, and Books and Baked Goods, oh my! Surrender .... to the need for home-grown goodies. No courage needed, just go with what your brain is telling you and where your heart is pulling you. Follow the ... sloping sidewalk into the Linda A. Johnston Memorial Amphitheater on Saturday, May 17th between 9am and noon!  The Mary E. Bartlett Memorial Library thanks Mr. John Woodard for generously lending his meticulously crafted model of a historically accurate Concord Coach. John and his wife Linda live locally in Brentwood. John started modeling at the young age of seven and continues to make models often taking hundreds of hours to perfect. This model is a showpiece reflecting 291.5 hours of dedicated craftsmanship and passion. Check out this new display that brings local history to life!  |
